Aye , Orun, and Static Virtue

Do you have to find Aye and Orun when you play Static Virtue?

Example, you have just influence out Eze, play Static Virtue and find that you only have 3 Orun and 2 Aye left in your library/hand.

Does the card text on Aye and Orun apply to all of them on the vampire?

Specifically, "Burn this card if this Laibon has more Orun and Aye than his or her capacity."

It is the last line of the text.



Aye Master: trifle.

Put this card on a Laibon. This Laibon may tap this card to cancel a Frenzy card played on him or her as it is played. This Laibon may burn a blood and tap three of his or her Aye to be able to play reaction cards and attempt to block as if untapped for the current action. If this Laibon burns a minion, equipment, or location in play, he or she burns one Aye. Burn this card if this Laibon has more Orun and Aye than his or her capacity.



Orun Master: trifle.

Put this card on a Laibon. For non-Orun cards played by Methuselahs other than this Laibon's controller, this Laibon is considered to have 2 additional capacity. A Laibon gets an additional vote for every three Orun he or she has. If this Laibon successfully bleeds for more than 2 or successfully performs a action against a non-mortal minion, he or she burns one Orun. Burn this card if this Laibon has more Orun and Aye than his or her capacity.



Static Virtue Master. Requires a ready Laibon.

Choose a Laibon you control. If this Laibon was moved to your ready region during your last influence phase, then for every two capacity above 4 this Laibon has, you may move one Aye and one Orun from your hand or library to this Laibon. Otherwise, you may move one Aye or one Orun from your hand or library to this Laibon. Shuffle afterward.

If your playing it using the text before the "Otherwise..." claus the answer is yes.

"You cannot play Static Virtue and play unmatched Aye/Orun, unless you
play it for 1.

Correct. They come in pairs.

Thanks, but what about the second question.

I suspect it applies to all Aye and Orun on the vampire, and as the phasing player you can choose card to burn first. Once you are down to Aye/Orun is equal to capacity you stop burning them.

No, you only burn 1 Aye if you have 10 Aye on a 9-cap.
(though this might require some cardtext update, due to [LSJ 20090603] . Or we could just let things happen sequencially, which solves the issue.)

You have 5 Orun and 4 Aye on a 9 cap. you play Orun on that vampire.
Do you burn that Orun or choose any Aye/Orun on that vampire?
