Carrion Crows' damage isn't dealt by the Tunnel Runner. Carolina isn't immune to that damage.

Hmmm. Isn't the damage from, say, Murder of Crows also environmental? I would imagine Carolina to be immune to that, at least(?).

Yes but its specifically damage from the retainer, which she is immune to. Carrion Crows is not damage from the ally.
