kinda stupid question but.. . was created by blackday
I know this maybe kinda noob question but i couldnt find the ruling...
Anyways two vamps are in combat at close range. Vamp A strikes vamp B for 1 damage. During damage prevention vamp B plays armor of vitality preventing damage. Vamp A plays blur for two additional strikes. Does the armor of vitality played in the first strike resolution still apply to the additional strikes since its in the same round? We ruled it did.

It doesn't. The card would have to be worded "This minion can prevent 3 damage this round" for it to work.

There's a damage resolution step each time a vampire takes damage. The cards played to prevent damage doesn't carry over that step (unless stated otherwise).

Is there relevant text in the rulebook about this or a relevant ruling?

So if a vamp gets hit with outside the hourglass for 2 damage and the opposing vamp plays armor of vitality to prevent 3. The extra 1 damage prevention doesnt carry over the strike resolution? So he cant use it to prevent hand strike damage for example.
Is there an official ruling where we can cite this?
