Mask of a Thousand Faces questions was created by Nosk
There are some interactions with Mask of a Thousand Faces that are not clear to me. So I would like to ask about them:
Thank you!
- How does this card interact with Nergal (ADV) ? Nergal makes reactions cost 1 more blood when he is acting. If Nergal declares a bleed, then my prey plays a wake (paying 1 more blood because of Nergal) and tries to block, can I play a Mask with any other minion I control? Or I am not able to do it because of the "Nergal effect" already applied?
- Similar as above, but with Giotto Verducci . If Giotto is acting and a vampire pays 1 blood to try to block, can I then play a Mask with another minion?
- If the acting vampire is blocked and then in combat he plays Form of Mist at superior to continue the action. Can then I play a Mask with another vampire? Does that vampire playing the Mask need to have Protean (I guess so)? And could that "new" acting vampire play another Form of Mist at superior?
Thank you!

The masking vampire must have superior Protean.

No, cardtext. And could that "new" acting vampire play another Form of Mist at superior?

But Form of Mist says "A vampire can play only one Form of Mist at superior each action." In this case, it will be another vampire. Why not?

Even though it originally SEEMED that someone else started the action it was the "new" vampire all along...

But with action modifiers does not work that way. The original acting can play a Lost in Crowds and then the "new" acting can play a Lost in Crowds again.

Is the latter answer a reversal of this ruling.

Yes.
The Masking vampire could also play a Lost In Crowds even if the
original vampire had played Lost In Crowds, for instance.
