Forum: Links in quotes

Hi,
I tried to do that :

but the output wasn't exactly what I expected. I wanted something that displayed a clickable link as the source of the quote.

Easy way:

1) Type in words you want as a link
2) highlight all of those words
3) Click on the LINK button just to the left of the Ebay button in the toolbar
4) Ensure that words you want are in the Text field, and put the desired URL in the URL field
5) Click on Insert button

then http stuff
then ]

Obviously, it didn't work better this time with the Insert link than the last time with the keyboard-entered [ url] [ /url] tags.


I might not have been clear enough in the first place.
I want a link in the text area where the quotee is.

Both methods I used/described work flawlessly for me.

I see from your Board Game Geek reference what you are trying to do.

[ quote= 'stuff'], where 'stuff' is a link, doesn't appear to be supported by Joomla.

You might have noticed that I've been using the [ url] [/url] tags quite often in the messages so far (for instance, in that previous message; and in the on referenced in the top message). However, what I've not been able to do was indeed to put links in the [ quote="precisely here"] part.

Probably Joomla, then jhattara, do you confirm this is not / will not be available?
