I was using the proportion to illustrate that they ARE a combat clan.
They block, combat happens. My argument being, their combat options are inferior. I wouldn't say I want it to be on equal footing with Potence, but for a clan that's going see combat that often, I'd like to see more than a theft for 2 blood every time they block.

So you would like them to be VERY good at blocking (:AUS:, magic of the smith on bowl...), VERY good at bleeding (Govern/conditionning/mirror walk IS awesome) AND VERY good at destroying their opponant when combat happen ?

And again, theft of vitae IS a good combat card. And rego motus also. And biothaumaturgic exp / magic of the smith ARE very good cards in a combat oriented deck.

And again : no the proportion does NOT define the meaning of a discipline : thaum is a toolbox discipline which do a LOT of stuff nearly as well as other more focus disciplines and which have some very unic tech which are just awesome...

Actually, I am nearly convinced that you are trolling...

I'm really not. My meta is having a similar discussion and I wanted to expand the conversation. I'm sorry if you don't appreciate the back and forth.

I am personally trying to make a Tremere Princes deck (or !Tremere Eternal Vigilance deck) and I can't believe how much worse it is than the other decks of that style in my meta.

If this isn't the forum for that kind of discussion, I don't know what is.

In our group of about 10 players, we have the following decks "of that style":
4 Toreador Guns (both sects)
10 Brujah Guns/Ranged Potence/Close Decap (both sects)
4 Tzmisce Eternal Vigilance
3 Nosferatu (both sects)
2 Venture (both sects)
0 Malkavian
0 Tremere

I'm trying to figure out if any other group has had a similar experience or if we're just crazy.

+ target hand
an occasional rotschreck
a couple of mirror walk to act safe (or a seduction)
a couple of obedience if you play big cap princes
and maybe a couple of tupdogs (esp if you plau tre a. and fear rushes)

meta differs but yours doesn't sound like the moderate btw
