All of the completed listings are still "buy it now" purchases.

I'm puzzled ??

By this are you just referencing to Ezmeralda or Completeated listings in general?

When you look at completed listings, you can see if it was sold as a "buy it now" or at auction. In general Buy it now sells higher than auctions (when it does) and that's all I saw for Ezmerelda.

Right-o.
But they still sold, right?

Anyways, my comment was meant for more general advice too.

The price I listed is the ones I've observed daily. I usually check once a day or two on all the vtes cards and put them on watch list or research list. Ezmerelda last sold for $41 + SH on auction (about a month ago) and there's a current one on buy it now for $39.99 + SH. Yes, lucky bored rich folks do buy them at that price. I usually ignore buy-it-now prices unless there's no auction listings, then I take the buy-it-now price with a grain of salt (although I do see one labeled SOLD on the complete listing at $50, which is probably outdated and old because then I could say a year or two ago one was sold for $70). There is a way you can track the records from previous years, but you need to have a seller account with EBay in order to get that service.

While they did sell, how many people would buy them at a lower price? How long have they been sitting on Ebay waiting for someone to impatiently buy them? Between March 29th and today only one other Ezmerelda sold on Ebay. One failed to sell at a lower price than the first two. All were buy it now.

It's something like the price of sneakers. Most people would pay $40 for a pair, some would pay $80, and very few would pay $200. If the only ones for sale are at $200 you only get a couple buyers. The rest will find other shoes ;)

Does this make your Pumas or your Ezmereldas worth that much? It's all relative, but that strains credulity.

Those greedy sons of unwed mothers! We must boycot the people who are ripping us all off at Ebay with their outlandisly prized Ezmeraldas!

They don't NEED to try to sell them any lower than they deem necessary.
