1. GENERAL V:EKN FAQ
1.1. What is the V:EKN?
V:EKN stands for Vampire: Elder Kindred Network, and is the Official V:TES Players' Organization dedicated to the continued health of V:TES. The V:EKN endeavors to help V:TES grow in popularity through the embracing of new players as well as through the support of the existing fans.
1.2. What is V:TES?
Vampire: The Eternal Struggle is a trading card game in which two or more players take on the roles of ancient vampires known as Methuselahs. Methuselahs are considered mere legend by younger vampires. Younger vampires think that they pursue their own ends... even as they are being used by one Methuselah to undercut the influence of another. Throughout the world, Methuselahs manipulate their minions to frustrate the designs of the other Methuselahs, just as they have for as long as they can remember. These eternal struggles, sometimes covert and subtle, sometimes open and spectacular, are collectively known as the Jyhad.
1.3. When and how was the V:EKN founded?
The V:EKN was founded in 1997, right before Wizards of the Coast officially re-released The Sabbat. A vote was conducted on the V:TES-L mailing list to determine a name for the V:TES Players’ Organization, the first Chairman of which was Robert Goudie.
1.4. What does the V:EKN do?
The V:EKN is the organization responsible for sanctioning and regulating official V:TES tournaments, recording V:TES players' ratings (and rankings), monitoring and updating (where necessary) game rules, card text and changes, and sponsoring the organization's website, http://www.vekn.net/.
1.5. How many members does the V:EKN currently have?
[08-05-2016] The V:EKN currently has 15220 members (players with a V:EKN number). However, only 1078 can be considered active (i.e, having played a V:EKN sanctioned tournament recently).
1.6. Is the V:EKN funded in any way?
No, it is not.
1.7. How is the V:EKN organized?
