"Anarch" is a designation for a special type of Independent vampire. An anarch vampire is Independent (non-Camarilla and non-Sabbat). If the vampire joins either sect, he loses his anarch status along with his Independent status. A vampire who is not an anarch may become an anarch by the effects of various cards. There is also a new cardless action option available for the vampire to join the anarch cause as a +1 stealth action that costs blood, although vampires with titles are prohibited from taking that action.

Anarchs is the fifth set released by White Wolf for Vampire: The Eternal Struggle. The booster packs contain 11 cards (7 common, 3 uncommon, and 1 rare) randomly selected from a set of 132 cards (including 122 new cards). In addition, the set features 3 non-random preconstructed decks, Gangrel, Anarch Barons, and Anarch Gangs, which contain even more cards and are designed to get beginning players started right away. Each preconstructed deck contains 2 new vampires that aren't found in the boosters.

FAQ (Clarifications and Rulings)
bar_promo Xaviar is available in Scrye #58, and he'll appear in the Anarchs expansion (the promo version doesn't have the faded attribute bar that the retail version has). The official release date for the card is Mar 7, 2003. That means he became legal for tournament play on April 6, 2003.

  Background  
While the mainstream Salubri suffer reputations as soul-stealers and diablerists, the Salubri antitribu have put the nigh-incomprehensible practices of that bloodline behind them. With a rage borne of centuries of persecution, the Salubri antitribu have developed a consuming hatred of the Camarilla and joined forces with the Sabbat to bring about its destruction.

icondisvaleren According to the Salubri antitribu, Valeren is a forgotten Discipline unearthed in their research into their progenitor's history. Valeren is a Discipline of righteous wrath, originally developed by the demon-slayers and questing knights of the Salubri from nights long past. It shares a bit in common with the Obeah Discipline upheld by the Salubri, but it quickly diverges into its own focus and ideology.

The Salubri antitribu cards mix well with the same clans that the mainstream Salubri do. Since they are not scarce and are generally younger than their mainstream couterparts, the Salubri antitribu are capable of being played in a single-clan deck, although they would have difficulty holding their own in such a format.

Adonai was the first Salubri to join the Sabbat, and he is the oldest Salubri antitribu in the set. His special abilities reflect the forces that inspired the antitribu line in the first place.
