In theory there is no difference between theory and practice, but in practice...

Powerbase: Berkeley is a group of VtES players who meet at Eudemonia by the UC Berkeley campus on Wednesday nights. While this is a casual playgroup, we follow VEKN tournament guidelines for issues such as banned cards, legal deck size, and a 2 hour time limit. The first game traditionally starts at 6:30pm, and if it times out at two hours the second game starts a little after 8:30pm. New players are always welcome, and we are more than happy to teach the game and lend a spare deck. We typically play in the far back room so don't be shy about looking for us.
Eudemonia (www.eudemonia.net) is conveniently located a couple blocks away from the Downtown Berkeley BART station. There is decent parking nearby, particularly north along Oxford, which borders UC Berkeley.
Our group has a Facebook page at www.facebook.com/groups/257585784277936/

I'm Azel and I too endorse this message.
And Count Orlok, you may keep Berkeley. But as leading and sole magaji or the East Bay, I must insist that Oakland remains neutral territory.
