My Next Best Buddy

I've been wanting to do something different for a change for a long time. This month's tournament was a great way to try something out, and I decided it was time I gave Sebastian Goulet a go.

So it's basically a tool-box with loads of dominate - or, enough to survive at least. I suspected I'd face little combat because hey, it's a tournament. Sadly in my first game I was shut down from turn one by a predator Kiasyd (Marconius played the puzzle on Sebstian as soon as they popped up), and in second game Enkidu rushed me crosstable 'cause I had OBF and DOM, and graverobbed one of my prey's princes on first turns. I guess I had bad seating.

Anyways, I found that 6 deflections weren't enough so I added a few. Other than that the deck is fun as hell to play with, and packs lots of cool little tricks. Ousting should be done by deflections and govern bleeds in the end game. Go for 3+GW with this one - don't dream of sweeps.

The build-up's very slow. Superior Presence might be useful here so that I could Summon Mylan first, then Ossian and other guys followed by them. Too bad it's hard to find decent mates for Sebastian.

Sebastians should be 4 base and 1 advanced, I suppose...

Goulet ally deck just begs for satyrs. And buddy is one of the most overpriced ally in the game.
Walks with might with 22 masters is suicide.
I would drop some masters (there is too much for 78 card deck, change buddies, gregory, procurers, walks with might to satyrs and put earth melds as your combat package (this should be followed by changes in crypt to include more gangrel antitribu (soldat and rigaud would be perfect). Thanks to that you can easily include more ousting power (governs and conditionings). This would change your deck from more block and combat oriented to more acting oriented but IMO it's a good direction when your main vampire is OBF DOM pro.

If I had them. Also, they're not packed with aggro hands with an additional strike. Anyways, yeah, three buddies could be replaced with one buddy and two satyrs in a better world.

It's there basically to feed Abomination if I get the combo going. Nothing more. It's discarded if I don't get Abomination in hand at the same time, and it's fetched with Summoning if I do have it. Cheap Abo, m-mm.

Rigaud here wouldn't be too good, to be honest. If a part of the surviving includes torporing from right Rigaud's special is way too risky.

Masters are a bit weird here, to be sure, but I usually get to play plenty of them and discard the rest. Thanks for the input, tough. I know it's a lot of masters.

So basically you're suggesting of dropping the ally package to minimum and forging the deck into an S&B? Basically, if you're going there, I don't know if I'll need the extra !Gangrel there. Obf + Dom vampires should do it nicely. But if you're going there, why would I even bother with the Satyrs from start? It's one less bleed action anyways. Sebastian is not the best S&B vampire in my opinion.

Why should you bother with satyrs? Because horde of nearly unkillable bleeders costing 1 pool each is just good. With unmasking they can also block quite well. You can also use Leverage and Empowering the Puppet King to increase their bleed potential considerably.
