New to VEKN - guidance on deck building

You can get about all the important cards for Ventrue from jyhad, and unlike most clans, the group 1 Ventrue actually do have fairly good crypt too, so you could well make a working deck using only or mostly jyhad cards, though of course having cards from some other sets added wouldn't hurt. Here is for example one of my decks which uses mostly jyhad cards.

Ranjan Rishi is only crypt card not from Jyhad. And from library only Creepshow Casino, Dreams of the Sphinx, Pentex Subversion, Ventrue Directorate Assembly, Daring the Dawn(although day operation from jyhad is almost identical), The Kiss of Ra, Neonate Breach, and On the Qui Vive(Wake With Evening's Freshness from Jyhad is basically same), are not from Jyhad, and none of those cards should be too hard to get, or replace with other fairly similar cards.

Here are some cards you can use to substitute to the ones you might not have enough of.

Ranjan Rishi can be replaced with Melissa Barton or Heather Florent easily.

Creepshow Casino is a bit hard to find a substitute for as its fairly unique some generic purpose master like Rumor Mill or Anarch Troublemaker could work.

Dreams of the Sphinx. You can replace one with The Barrens, second one perhaps with extra govern the unaligned.

Pentex Subversion can be replaced with aforementioned Anarch Troublemaker or Misdirection (just note that Misdirection no longer works like the jyhad version is printed).

Ventrue Directorate Assembly is probably hardest to replace as they are quite vital for getting votes through with this deck, something like Bewitching Orations or Praxis Seizures could perhaps work.

Daring the Dawn, as mentioned above, can be easily replaced with Day Operation.

Freak Drive, while from Jyhad, is a rare there so you likely didn't get that many from one box, but ones you are missing can be replaced with more Change of Target.

The Kiss of Ra is fairly unique effect, however not really overly critical to the deck. Could easily replace them with more Conditionings for example.

Neonate Breach can be replaced with Domain Challenge for example to achieve similar effect of punishing low cap decks.

On the Qui Vive can easily be replaced with Wake with Evening's Freshness.
