So I want to make a deck roughly centered around Bakr and Exuding Blood on Vitals. I don't have experience on playing Assamites and don't remember their cards, so this is a pretty rough sketch. It's a bruise & bleed deck with very light defenses, it can try to chump block and I don't like people thinking their bleeds get through free but if there's a problem it has to backrush, otherwise it attempts to bloat. Only Loss costs blood, and there's going to be LB in it but that isn't in ARDB. I'm also suspicious about the crypt, it transfers out pretty slow, the first guy is supposed to be Bakr who is the main rusher.
Well, what do you think? Any experience with such decks? I don't even have the minions yet, so I can't tell how this works, but I like Bakr and I like the idea of unpreventable damage to vitals, what with somebody building a FOR/ANI deck to counter my Tzimisce

Some cards I'd like to see in the deck:
Blood Awakening (intercept or block fails)
Khabar: Glory (extra bleed, extra pool when you oust)
Nest of Eagles (bleed reduction)
Selective Silence (set range, beats Drawing out the Beast)

As somebody who played Assamite combat through and trough, I'm gonna tell you right away that i do not think your concept is viable.
Here's why : it is too card intensive, and not efficient enough.
Consider that you want to torporise a 8-cap prince of your prey. You need to :
1) go to long range
2) play exuding blood with target vitals
3) press
4) go to long range again
5) play exuding blood with target vitals
6) press
7) hand strike
That is 8 cards, nearly 1/10 of your deck, and the chain can be broken several times (Combat ends - you wasted 3 cards, then he can discard all that prevent he has to cancel target vitals, or he can try to press out of combat).
A much better combat module would be disguised weapon/ wooden stake/ Strike at true flesh. 2 unpreventable damage, that taps a vampire and sends him to torpor. Also, if he combat ends, you lost nothing, you still have the stake, and you can Psyche! him to next combat. Also add some selective silence to stop them from running away to long range, and some taste of death if they do run away to long range.
Or, you could try old and true WWS + Blur+ Baal's bloody talons on last strike, that can even potentially burn them if they are caught defenseless, and still you loose nothing if they combat ends (stick stays on you, intact, and you can Psyche! them in new combat)
To summarize - Long range Assamite combat, in my humble experience of ~2.5 years of non-stop playing Assamites, works only with Magnums and celerity, with a couple of taste of deaths to use as additional strikes. Of course, your mileage may vary...
Anyway, just to say that Assamites are ton of fun, very versatile clan with lots of decent off disciplines to blend with quietus. Experiment with them, and enjoy!

There is a way to make long range assamite combat work, thats called zip gun. I would replace at least 4 flashes with zip guns, then find room for at least 8 cards that give additional strikes (recommended to at least replace the rest of the flashes with pursuits). Then, since you have fairly limited amount of combat card slots, you want to get the most bang of your buck, so replace the Exudings with Blood Sweats instead which does the same better, your using taste of vitaes anyway so the blood cost is given back by the extra damage. Antara and Monty are also too big, replace them with Janni (whos special works with zip guns too), Vardar, Hafsa, or Layla Bint Nadr.
But anyway, main thing is you need zip guns, that way you can always start by going long with zip to shoot for 1, then if they s:ce you didn't lose anything, if they don't s:ce, you can do additional strike with blood sweat to vitals. You can also use target vitals with the zip gun strike if you need to cycle or you are fairly sure its going to hit.

Different mileage, i suppose.
I never made zip gun work. That 1 keeps adding up, and if i do not draw tastes (and they are never around when needed
), you will soon find yourself empty. I prefer Magnums. They hit harder, are reliable, and their pool cost is easily payed with one Haqueem's Law.

Cavalier to untap after Loss? Can also put the CEL rush with costs a blood.
Assamite combat which worked for me: selective silence + teath of death. Maybe a couple of vitals for allies.
