Hi was wondering if anyone had some thoughts on my basic (pre-Bloodlines) basic Tremere deck? :

My meta-game is combat heavy. And not much card access post bloodlines.

What are your requirements exactly? The basic Tremere intercept/second round combat already sucked in Jyhad, and it didn't improve with time.

There is not enough :AUS: in that group for a blocker deck. The standard Gr 2/3 Carna crypt is much better for this. Gr 1/2 make a good weenie :dom::tha: with a mix of Cryptic Mission and bleed, but that might not work without Mirror Walk.

In a combat-heavy meta, I would play 12 Theft of Vitae at least and forget about second round: you should already be happy to survive the first one. Maybe a couple of Walk of Flame to punish opposing presses, but that's it.

I'm not sure Tremere is the right choice for a "combat heavy" metagame. I would suggest Ulugh Beg, Cardano, and Obedience instead. That'll teach 'em. :)

ETA: Since you are playing in a pre-Bloodlines metagame, take a look at Xian's old newsletters found on this page: www.thelasombra.com/ClanPages/tremere/index.htm. I found them invaluable when learning the clan.

1. How do you intend to oust?
Slowly inconspicously. small bleeds of 1 or 2 usually go through with threat of the 1 unpreventable weather control plus theft of vitae.

2. How do you intend to keep from being ousted?
Combination of small pool generation (blood doll/hunting ground(s)/austria), blocking of major bleeds or votes also having only small-mid cap vampires gives a little cushion of pool.

3. What do you want your ready region to look like (ie, how many guys are you planning on getting out)?
Four vampires minimum with one or two crypt lungers ready late game or to pop up to replace the usual fallen.

4. What do you want your average turn to look like?
Small bleeds for one with low blood vampires or some other action with half of my ready and able "ready region" minions...not sure rounded up or down... I guess will vary in play.

5. What's your metagame like? How do your opponents play?
Usually above average combat. Main problems in my meatgame are combat ends, damage prevention and bleed bounce... hence the weather control/theft of vitae and fast reaction even the one direct intervention, plus the small bleeds frustrate those bouncing bettys.

6. What problems have you observed with the deck in play?
Alot of sleepy torpor time... chantry and catacombs for that maybe a humanitas to add?
Stealth is a problem when needed, usually just suck up the attack and lose the minion... couple of mirror walks would be nice but "not in the cards so to say"

I all ready changed a few things just by looknig at this post... like removing ankara and praxis barcelona and definatley needed more reaction so added some.

PS: Can'T go large vampires (ulugh,cardano etc..) since no villein or zillah'S valley would need to rely on minion taps and my meta would almost oust me before I get a couple of fatties out

this seems opposite of each other. Combat heavy decks are usually the slowest ones when talking about ousting.
as for the deck I would remove a lot of one-of cards. Looks more like a bunch of cards that can be played by tremere. F.e:
diamond thunderbold, golconda (you have no vampire with cap 8+!), all actions card, political cards, thadius, drain essence.
Generall there is a lot of strange cards here which should be changed for already proven ones. Tremere decks that had most successes in history are usually based on strong ousting potentiall (govern the unaligned, bondings, conditionings), very good defense mechanisms (auspex intercepts, auspex + dominate bleed bounces) and light thaumaturgy combat (mostly based on theft of vitae and apportation). If you have some magic of the smiths it's usuallt very good to add strong equipmnet module (f.e. ivory bow, bowl of convergence, ir googless, sniper rifle, etc.). Add some staple master cards to the mix (like blood dolls, directs, suddens, chantry, arcane library, pentex) and you have very good tremere deck
