1. why 13 crypt cards? - cos Im blind and did not notice 12 will do
2. why bambas? - why not? additional minion bleeding for one. however, there are obviously better options.
3. glutton - did not come to my mind, great card. maybe also ishtarri warlord...
4. summoning, allies and retainers - might go in instead of bambas, very good idea
5. familial bond will definitely be better, thank you.

I will construct this deck asap and try it out, hopefully during summer.

I tried building a deck with the Soul Gem and Akunanse, using multipe copies of "Akunanse Remains" to boost the acting vampire's capacity. It was a troubled turbo deck, but fun. Do you think that style of Soul Gem deck would also work with Virolax?

No idea. This is my very first attempt concerning Soul Gem or Virolax... time (and my mistakes during playing it) will tell.
