regarding research and development, everyone seems to miss out that Shalmath's special actually makes it worth playing. I can get that early game CI or SH in my hand very easily./ It has saved my butt more than once.
TIMO: SO many sidekick? you mean allies i assume? Well the idea for the deck is to wall up with allies. I raeally don't think 5 is that many. I quite often manage to get at least 3 out. Also, the allies summoned depend on what decks i am facing. Harz/ High top come out for stealthy decks. Remnant / Ossian come out for combat decks.
If by sidekick you mean vamps, then yes they are a pure toolbox choice. Best sidekick is Unnamed with homunculus and perfectionist and CI. Bleeds for 1 every turn gaining me 2 pool.
Outside the hourglass is strong, but AK-47 is permanent.
Look at the deck as a toolbox that can fetch the bits it needs.
Also, re dev/research. Sargons + development means i can fetch an action card into research area before my turn starts with Shalmaths special, then use sargon to fetch the development back. Enkil cog is backup in case people start buring the network. Strangely people seem to leave it alone when they face harza and Shaly with an ak when burning it.
And lastly, to Timo, the deck tends to facestomp people once it gets rolling
EDIT: In case it wasn't clear, thanks a heap for the comments. Also just realsied this deck is in serious need of a carlton. Always useful to pull him out right after someone diablerised
