tzimisce build

hi guys,

I just bought a pack with tzimisce and vicissitude cards and was wondering about creating a starvation of marena deck. Do you have suggestions for this build?

I don't have much experience with Starvation of Marena. You don't have any other responses at this point, so my uninformed opinion will be a stand-in for now.

Combat
[1 Blood]
[vic] Strike: 2R damage, with an optional press.
[VIC] As above, but for 3R damage.

If the card cost zero blood I would totally play it. It combos well with carrion crows, allowing you to do five damage in one round, then get a press for another three. Per card it is more bang for your buck than aid from bats. The problem is that you have to be able to deal with hit back. If my opponent plays no cards I lose 2 blood in round one, not much better than their losing 2-3. Target Vitals is an interesting combo with this card. Your presses will matter more if your opponent can't press against.

I would suggest that this card works best in an ANI VIC deck that can set up minions to be burned in combat with a combination of Starvation, Carrion Crows and Chiropteran Maurader. Gauge the damage you will need to do in round one. If one or zero blood, Crows + CR. if 2, then Starvation at basic in round one, then Crows and CR in round 2. If 3 Starvation at VIC, then see above. If 4+ use Crows at ANI + Starvation as appropriate. See how much fun this is? Give it a shot.

Other useful tools could be Owl Companion, Pack Alpha (to get owl or give you +1 str), Underbridge Stray, Corpse Balloon, Inner Essence, Aura Reading, and Taste. There are more, but those should synergize well. I picture the deck being intercept combat with some rush and bleed via Deep Song/Changeling.

There is the path of metamorphosis that can handle the blood cost of the card. The thing is I would have to defend it with some intercept.

Maybe terror frenzy would be an interesting choice for this deck as well, since I'm choosing to hit long range.

I was wondering to use ludmijla. She doesn't pay animalism (terror frenzy for free!) and with the path I would use starvation for free as well. Have to see if a have G4 crypt enough to combo with ludmijla

I wouldn't try to play heavy combat with Starvation of Marena: other combat modules already do it better. The strengths of the card are:
-it works just as well at (that is the big reason to play this rather than Chiroptean),
-it is reliable: you only need 1 card type to torporize an opponent,
-it is polyvalent: works at close and long, and the press can be used to end combat against better fighters.

I would play a light toolboxy deck based on smaller vampires (probably only). I have a quite similar one using and Thrown Gate instead.
