file Helena ADV - any good?

Not a deck per se, but rather a deck in the making :)

For a while now i wanted to make a deck around Helena Adv. (or merged, even better), but complete idea escapes me. So, i will pour my thoughts about it here, and you provide me with suggestions, ideas, and your experiences (if any), playing Helena.

So here goes:

Negatives :
10-cap without a title
No inherent way of multiact
inferior pre hurts a lot
infernal

Positives : :dai: :obf: :pre: :tha: :AUS: :CEL: :DOM: B)
Does not pay for dom reactions.
When merged, gets +1 bleed, and wake-like ability for blood
Infernal :)

First, off the top of the head, she can host a TGB, and still untap for her infernal penalty.

Then, she has inferior obfuscate, allowing her to play Mask of the thousand faces. That was my first idea : Put a couple of aching beauties on her, and mask actions of other smallcap toreadors. Something like this :
Isabel de Leon bleeds for one, prey tries to block, Mask, it is now Helena, croc tongue/change of target/pain B) . This concept, however, suffers severely from the fact that she does not have:PRE: to majesty away and be ready to do something else.

With kindred coercion and helena you practically do not need delaying tactics, and free deflection is really good. But, it does not win you games...

At :dai: , she has, imho, only psychomachia to benefit from (but block fails is great deal), and maybe concordance at :DAI: when merged. Then, maybe even some As the crow?

:tha: can maybe used for rutor hand (if going :dai: way and concordance), and maybe magic of the smith (but what to summon with it?).

See, there lies my problem. She seems as such a versatile vampire, with hot picture, and is widely represented in the fluff, but seems always lacking that little bit to make her really shine.

Help?

Play her with nu-toreador IC, who also has DOM and OBF. Devastate table with unblockable Mind Rapes.

I´ve played a Helena-Abyssal Hunter-deck with (surprisingly!) some success. You try, you like - vekn.net/index.php/forum/7-deck-clinic/2416-helena-and-the-hunters#2416

Heheheh I have a nastier plan.

Build a 60-card garden variety "mid-to-small" Toreador Aching Beauty Bleeder.
Then add in:
- 4-6x Hidden Lurker
- 4-6x Flames of the Nether World
- Light Celerity Combat Defence (Flash + Sideslip)
- 4-6x Infernal Servitor (can play cards as if it was a vamp with :dai: :obf: if you can merge Helena so it can do the Hidden Lurker + Flames trick)

:bruj::CEL::POT::PRE::tha: Baron of Sydney, Australia, 418
