Danny makes nocturn buddies with his basic obtenebration. During your untap phase, you throw them off the Khobar Towers to collect pool. What a cute combo!

But the deck just can't seem to reach its full potential. Setites don't have great pool defense, which annoys me. and some decks can bloat fast enough to wait until this one runs out of steam. What would you do to improve this concept? I was thinking of splashing some dominate weenies for deflections... I hear that usually works.

For pool defense villein and/or blood dolls + lilith's blessing (you can add second copy) can help. You can add crocodile temple as well. Additionally you should drop some expensive cards: hunting grounds, tutu.
For some additionall defense play FBI. It's pure gold with nocturns
For offense I don't really understand why you're playing cards like revelation of esctasy, eternal mask, revelation of desire, while playing presence (legal manipulation, public trust, entrancement, aire of elation) is much better and simpler option. I would change some form of the serpent for obfuscate cards. The blood cost of form is too high for the effect.

The Nocturn plus Khobar Towers idea will only generate you a pool a turn (after it costs you two). I don't see that as being much better than Tower of London, which I never see played. What about using them to Shadow Twin your prey's vampires after you put out Form of Corruption? Steal their guy and cash him in.

Be careful when you fight the monsters, lest you become one.

The way it's currently set up, there are three copies of Allonzo (+1 stealth on Serpentis actions) and lots of Serpentis actions, including Eternal Mask. That lets Haze lowball the amoutn of stealth cards in the deck, somewhat. Using Revelation of Desire is also built-in responsible bleed, since playing it at superior doesn't increase the bleed any if it gets bounced.

That said, I'm not sure that's actually better than the more pedestrian PRE route, but I think that's why the deck is built how it is.

1 pool a turn is about on par with Ecoterrorists and Nosferatu Kingdom though. and Khobar has the extra advantage of converting empty vampires back into pool. I think the main problem with Tower of London is that Giovanni already have :DOM: so having the slow and steady poolgain is not such a high priority.

I'm starting to think the Ashur Tablets are the problem and should be removed entirely. I could instead use more copies of Mokole Blood to recycle good :SER: cards, and use the master slots for more pool/blood regain.

I can see how people could outlast you. I don't think the solution is to plan to build a Setite deck that's good at hanging around longer because you aren't going to be good at that anyway. Instead I'd up the offense. More Enticement. More Truth of a Thousand Lies so you can hit somebody for 11 with two guys, if need be (bleed 4, bleed 4, Entice). Also good for getting those corruption counters out and bleeding the same turn.

If removing Ashur (probably smart since it's not really that good with just one MPA), you could instead play masters to push blood back on your vampires like Jake, Giant's Blood, maybe Life in the City. You already have Lilith's Blessing.

I think 10/70 Nocturns is too many when only one guy can play them.
