Heyho! My first post in this forum.. wow.

I had some thoughts about the good old grinder decks. Somehow, I'm tired of playing Owain and Blackhorse, and to be honest, G4/5 Ventrue are not that different, just a little more active.
So what to do? I had the idea of a "soft" grinder deck with Kyasid. Like a Kyasid toolbox, close to the Ventrue grinders, just not that much block and not such a sturdy combat. Instead of this i added a little more "trick".

- How do you intend to oust?
I plan to wear down my prey with occasional deflections and bleed. When he is tapped out/low on blood in the mid/endgame I bleed repeatedly, if possible with Govern.

-How do you intend to keep from being ousted?
Reduce bleeds, block low-stealth actions, deflect. Got kinda problem with vote decks, but Covincraft could help in addition to my vampire's votes.

-What do you want your ready region to look like (ie, how many guys are you planning on getting out)?
The best would be Pherydima and Isanwayen... denpending on my predator one additional 7-cap. Hungry Coyote would be fine, but not neccesary.

-What do you want your average turn to look like?
depends on the game phase:
Early game/buildup phase: Govern down to influence more minions and maybe some build up actions like Abbot, Aaron's feeding Razor or Goblinism.
Mid game: play under the radar, no heavy bleed, just bloat a little (via hunt/Vessel and Govern) and some disrupting actions (like Gremlins (destroy equipment), Goblinism (on potence),
Late game: wear down the enemy, bleed often, take actions against his permanents, if possible


-What's your metagame like? How do your opponents play?
A few Ally Decks, not too agressive, more combat aligned.

-What problems have you observed with the deck in play?
none so far, will test it tomorrow


Some further explanations:
- I decided to go for Vessel instead of Blood Doll, simply because the mass of Master Cards. A jam should not occur with 10 trifles and Isanwayen.
- Hungry Coyote, Aaron's Feeding Razor and Ravager is a cool combo, so ist Festivo dello Estinto and Ravager, especially with steady Villeins or one or two Vessels. The Razor and Ravager should be played on Pherydima, because her special lets me untap her at the end of turn.
- Use Goblinism to search for (1st) Hungry Coyote or (2nd) Heidelberg. Or if I don't need any of those (or have them already) to destroy an Important location of an enemy (Pherydima is sooo potent :evil: )
- I play a variety of combat cards to be not that predictable.
- Should add 1 or two Entombment instead of Oubliette or Earth Swords.. I just do not own any.
- One card I think I could drop is Pentex.
- Cards thatcould be worth to include: 1 Resume the Coil, 1 Scarlet Lore, 1 Chair of Hades

So what do you think about that?

Your idea is pretty good. I thought the same and made similar deck.
I think you can reduce the deck to 80 cards without much problems.
The main issues that I see are:
1) You lack on ousting capabilities. Some tapping resources in form of anarch troublemaker, misdirection and stone travel could be really useful.
Song of Pan should be played the turn you are going to oust your prey.
2) You lack on defense against undirected action. More aura absorbtion and some intercept location can do the job.

About your combat module, I think you are right thinking of adding more earth swords ( a retio of 1 earth sword every ten cards in your deck or little bit more would be fine in my oppinion).

Eyes of the night and intercept locations are good calls... thought about them before, didn't add them because my master module is already very huge, so I decided not to block that much and dropped the eyes too. But I will include them again. Changes I do before my first test today:

How about this deck ???

Reduced to 81 cards, mantaining the core of your deck defense and bloating modules and adding subtle modifications that grant it more ousting power.
