To warm up for the Brussels Grand Prix taking place the following day and make it into an even more memorable V:TES weekend, I am pleased to officially announce the

*** Belgian Limited National Championship 2023 ***

Date: Saturday, July 15, 2022
Registration: pre-registration mandatory before the day of the event
Booster draft starting time: 11:30
Expected first round starting time: 13:30
Expected finishing time: 22:30

Type of Event: Limited National Championship (booster draft) (see the limited tournament rules ). See the post below for information on draft material.

Number of rounds: 3 + final
Time limit per round: 2 hours

Entry fee: 30 euros (includes the cards to be drafted + promos and prizes)

Pre-registration is mandatory to make sure that sufficient cards are available for drafting and to allow for a timely start of the tournament as soon as the shop opens. If you intend to participate, please sign up as soon as possible by replying to this thread - or join the Facebook event .

*** How to reach ***

By train: The Outpost is situated less than 10 minutes walking from Brussels Central Station (Gare Centrale).
If you arrive from Paris/London, you will end up at Brussels South Station (Gare du Midi). From there, take the metro line 2 or line 6, direction "Simonis (Elisabeth)", get off after about 8 minutes at the stop "Madou", then walk 5 minutes to the Outpost.

By car: beware that parking is NOT free around the Outpost on Saturdays.

We hope to see many of you in Brussels on July 15th... and on the 16th for the Grand Prix of course!

WHAT WE WILL DRAFT (revised final list of 8 July with all the details!):

Product

Each player will receive an assortment of 5 packs to be drafted:

• 2x Jyhad booster packs (19 cards each)
• 1x Dark Sovereigns booster pack (15 cards each) (including the one and only Nikolaus Vermeulen, Prince of Brussels!)
• 2x "Brussels Nights" home-made draft packs (11 cards each) - see below

In addition, each player will receive one copy of a very mysterious card that they may use in their deck.

Finally, after drafting, players will be able to swap drafted copies of certain banned cards with legal cards that may be used in their deck. Specifically:

• Tsigane (Dark Sovereigns - BANNED) -> Ashlesha (Promo)
• Gypsies (Jyhad - BANNED) -> Double Deuce (Promo)
• Rom Gypsy (Dark Sovereigns - BANNED) -> City Star Taxi (Promo)

Minimum crypt/library

Minimum crypt 7, minimum library 35, one recursion*.

* Recursion: a player can use a discard phase action to shuffle all the library cards in his or her ash heap back into his or her library. This can be done whether or not there are any cards left in the player's library or hand.


"Brussels Nights" draft packs explained

"Brussels Nights" draft packs are random booster packs built from the following product:

• 1x Nosferatu V5 starter deck
• Three New Blood decks: 1x Malkavian , 1x Tremere , 1x Ventrue
• Three First Blood decks (French version): 1x Nosferatu , 1x Toreador , 1x Ventrue
• 1x Fall of London bundle
• Six different bundles of print-on-demand cards from Drivethrucards: 1x Ravnos crypt cards , 1x Ravnos library cards , 1x Chimerstry cards , 1x Giovanni crypt cards , 1x Giovanni library cards , 1x Necromancy cards
• The Ravnos crypt cards and Chimerstry cards from a The Unaligned 1 bundle
  
• The Giovanni crypt cards, Giovanni library cards and Necromancy cards from a The Unaligned 2 bundle
• 5 library promo cards from Promo Pack 3 (all library cards in the pack except Aching Beauty)

Each of the 70 resulting draft packs contains 3 or 4 crypt cards and 8 or 7 library cards. The content of each draft pack is full randomized (except that no booster can contain more than one copy of the same card).

I have draft material for up to 22-23 players. In case of a larger attendance, I can probably get more boosters, but only if I know in time! So PLEASE register to the event as soon as you know that you can make it!
