I'm curious - how was the seating handled to make 11 players over 2 rounds work? My local group has been stuck with that situation a couple of times recently and, so far, we've been unable to come up with a good solution.

Well, when I've been around, 11 player tournament has two tables with five players. During first round one player is not playing (voluntarily or selected randomly).

If any GW's has been scored during first round, one of those who have a GW is selected randomly as non-playing player (since you are guaranteed to get in finals with one GW).

If there are no game wins, then player with most victory points is off. If there are only timeouts, then I suppose one of the 10 players is randomly selected to not to play in second round.
