Gothenburg 2012-06-16
Standard Constructed
3 + F.
16 players.
Our monthly standard constructed attracted 16 players, which is a pretty good turnout for the month of June.
With four tables with four players each during the prelims games were a rather quick affair, especially as a large number of decks were tuned for delivering massive pool damage.
The final round would eventually see three dominate bleeders, one high cap Lasombra vote/bleed and one weenie gun-swarm. However, the REALLY interesting part came before that. Actually JUST prior to the final round.
While Archibald Zimonyi's 1/2 Malk S&B won the first seed in solitude with 1 GW 6 VP, the rest of the finalist positions weren't as easily distributed.
We had to flip a coin to determine second and third seed as both Alex Båskman and Mattias Colliander had collected 1 GW 4 VP (and identical TP) each with their dominate bleeders. (Obt bleed and Nec bleed respectively).
After that the true madness was revealed. A staggering eight players had collected 1 GW 3 VP, with identical TP to boot. Thus we ended up with making a lottery rather than the normal coin toss to determine seeds 4 and 5. Jonatan Sjöberg got lucky with his Lasombra vote/bleed, as did Beatrice Düring with her cap 2 Sabbat Desert Eagle / Scattershot -swarm.
So, while the final table turned out to be very dominate heavy, it would be false to say that the competing decks were tuned for dominate bleeding. After all, six decks of varying kinds lost the lottery.
After a lot of stunned laughter the final table was seated as follows:
Archie, Mattias, Bea, Alex and Jonatan.
As the only bleedsink with an ample amount of rushes Bea effectively backousted Mattias while slowly being bled to death. In the meantime Alex made short work of Jonatan and burned through Archie shortly after Mattias had been squeezed to death.
Alex won with 1 GW 4, with Archie grabbing the consolation VP. The tournament was finished before the match ended as Alex already had won it due to better finalist seed before he steamrolled through the finishing duel with Bea.

Madness archon as requested

Edit: I'll have to email it to you. This server refuses exel-files (or rather the file ending).
Grab my emailadress from the prince-list, Gothenburg, Sweden, Europe. I'm wary of getting even more spam than I currently do.
