Description: This deck tries to exploit a card I believed grossly overpowered as early as the first glimpse - Brutal Influence.

In this tournament I don't think I ever got above 6 Orun on a single vampire for various reasons (predator-based rush, cross table Sense Dep, Pentex, contestation). Even at that modest level it's a double-strength superior Govern the Unaligned and almost triple-strength Govern bleed. Seems pretty good to me, despite the overhead.

The Banishment/Exile module is intended to eliminate bleed deflectors. It also provides a great deal of flexibility to deal with other situations, including players at the table whose pool management is entirely recursion-based (e.g., Villein + Lilith's Blessing) or handling players running 11/12-cap minions.

No love for Sobayifa ?

She does not have which is needed for Brutal Influence.

Long answer for a short question, but I feel it important to give serious responses.

Sobayifa might be a better theoretical choice than Ubende in that final filler-magaji spot, since at least Sobayifa has the [pot] that Ubende is lacking.

But really, what would one use [pot] for in this deck anyway?

- Votes from Iron Glare? I guess it could happen and might even be impactful on something like Secret Must Be Kept or Disputed Territory.

This assumes that 1) the Iron Glare is needed to push the vote, 2) I call the vote anyway and am somehow surprised at the poll and 3) that I topdecked Iron Glare from the vote (therefore had NOT saved the vote for a different minion with

[pot] who might vote-push).   So, possible, yes - likely no.



- Brutal down?  If either Soba or Ubende gets Orun, my game is in the dumps and I'm supposed to lose.  The filler Magaji might get No Secrets from the Magaji, Ancestor's Spirit or Kduba's Mask, but never Orun.

- Guruhi Kholo target?  They are both Magaji anyway, so it would be a cycle at best.



In the end, I weighed my ability any of this stuff against the added 1 pool cost to influence Sobayifa and decided that Ubende was fine in that last crypt slot.

Darb, Brutal basic is the bleed and it comes at +1 without having to tap any Orun, which you will not have but could be useful for lunges. That and the odd Iron Glare vote push for a cap refill could be enough reason for Sobie over Ubende. Also, nothing wrong with a cycle when you need it. Plus Sense Vibrations could/should be in the deck and both her and Eze are valid targets. And, by the way, if she's your second minion, as opposed to Ubende, she can still use Orun for the bleed effect that is useless on the other.

Was working on another deck while drafting the message and didn't process the BI right - obviously had it upside down.

Might be worth a switch, despite being pretty cornercase, Have to think about minor benefit for 1 pool.

I had already been thinking about 2-3 Villein anyway, at which point the extral pool isn't too much of a factor (though that might also knock on to a minor combat package adjustment, since I wouldn't have full 7-8 caps to block rushes).
