Actually, it was this kind of answer I was looking for.
We "hear" that french players as a whole have a bad reputation.
But we don't know if it is a real thing and if players potentially interested in tournaments abroad are discouraged by that reputation.
So is it a real thing ? Do french players have a bad reputation ?
And yes, I am aware that I hacked the thread but actually, I think this deck is awesome and should have some more light ^^

Easy answer:
- in Belgium you have Belgian players
- in France you have French players

Personally, I don't think French players have a bad reputation.
What I could think of: the necessity to enter the French-speaking world in order to play with the French players is some kind of barrier to a few German players.

I did not hear of any complaints about french players at all for many years.
Please don't think of those things as bad rep. It is all about distance (and age ).

I prepare my cocked hat and my horse and i come
And to be serious, i hear the point concerning Strasbourg.
As you mentionned, there are not many players left over there.
It could be also far for many french people ... But why not
We also have in mind to prepare the next French Championship in Paris.
It's not necessary "closed"

I guess we should "invade" Bochum as a kind invitation to come in France. In addition, I guess all players are victims of their habits to some extend.
As far as I know, players from Bochum visiting tournaments in the Netherlands and Belgium and Dutch and Belgian players participating in events in Bochum has a long tradition.

"Closed" or (more likely) "close"?
