Report of the Brazilian Champion 2024, 30 years old

For the championship I chose Arika's deck because it was a deck that I already had experience with and was strong, as well as being my first deck, as well as causing a lot of pressure on the entire table. However, when choosing this deck, I was already aware that all opponents would imagine the deck's moves and capabilities, such as reinventing the wheel and something very complex. I tried to use the deck's fame to my advantage by exchanging the key cards from the standard deck for cards that they would have a higher cost but a more comprehensive effect, bluffing the idea of the hand always being stuck and me needing the table's help, reducing the risk that the deck offers on its own.

TABLE 01: Gangrel V5 > Brujah show of force > Nosferatu DOM B/S > Arika
Unfortunately zillah didn't come so I had to influence the arm, my prey was unable to rotate his thing and had to climb the gangreis on the arm, greatly reducing his pool, his actions were blocked by the brujah who knocked down his vampires, even though he had deflection on the arm. hand I chose to receive nosferatu's bleed which made him seem like the biggest risk at the table, being the target of brujah's rush, in addition to having brujah supporting me with votes in the parity shift, my first actions suffered block attempts from gangrel, but when showing cards like forgoten and into thin air he gave up and chose to try to stay alive, unfortunately for him, the intercepts didn't run either and I managed to kill him with heavy bleeds from Arika and Queen Anne. the Brujah killed the already weakened Nosferatu and tried to rush me, I had prepared my hand with maneuvers and I managed to pass the turn without losing minions by going all or nothing with several bleeds on the Bruja and taking the table.

TABLE 02: Sergio Bueno chameleon > Tzismice grinder de fiendsh tongue > Arika > Lutz inner circles > !Toreador block
I came with the perfect hand and managed to raise Arika on turn 2, I already started governing and influencing, after a bleed of 3, Lutz, believing that I would oppress him, decided to ask the board to vote against me on all actions. My explosive start caused my ruin, as a worried Lutz decided to call Kine back. I managed to kill him with heavy bleeds, but I spent a lot of resources, leaving little blood on the vampires. Being between 2 blocks, my deck couldn't perform, and tzismice's constant bleeds beat me.

TABLE 03: Gerrard Block > Arika > Old Whargoul Anarch > Nephandus liquidation > Ministry protocol
Again without Zillah I managed to adjust the influence with a Dreams, but it took me 3 turns to get to Arika, the warghoul had already done its setup and I had to make a non-aggression pact. I managed and raised minions while he attacked his prey a lot, the block behind me bought the crypt badly and tried to defend himself from a very aggressive ministry. In a stroke of luck, the ministry gave a bleed that ended up on me and I passed it to the warghoul who took it, leaving me with 4 in the pool. It was my chance, I went for it and, with 2 bleeds out of 3 frustrated, I killed him with 2 political actions, taking an already exhausted Nephandus who, in the subsequent turn, died in a reins of power. The ministry started to get even more aggressive in the bleeds and dry out its vampires to speed up the VP. In 2 turns the block gave in and it was just the two of us at the table, which I ended up winning by controlling the votes and managing to inflict more pool damage.

FINAL: Arika > Stanislava > Trampling Barons > Toreador block > Pander
I confess that I don't remember that final well, but I know that Pander had an extremely aggressive start, already putting on the legacy of pander early in the game and blowing me up with kine's. For the third time without zillah or another accelerator it took me a while to get up to Arika, when I did I managed to make the board feel sorry for me and hold the pander votes. After a few turns of exchange I managed to raise a second vampire, and at that moment I convinced my prey who played without Stanislava to burn the legacy of pander that occurred shortly before she was attacked by the barons, leaving her weak. The barons, still thirsty, violated the peace agreement with the block and secured their VP, the pander, with no recourse, finds himself stuck and I take the opportunity to kill the Gangrel with heavy bleed. Here was an unexpected situation, the weakened pander offers a deal to kill the baron and his aggressive vampires. A very aggressive turn between them, in which the barons died with several kine behind. On my turn, in a dishonest move, I break the agreement with the pander by becoming Brazilian champion in a cunning way like any good old Ventrue.
