Tournament Report Back to its origins.
Yesterday 09/02, our Return to Origins tournament was held, held at Shopping Nova América in Del Castilho, we had a total of 19 players divided into 4 highly contested tables, one of which ended on time and the others with minutes to go.
With a good variety of decks we had Brujah, Ministry, Banu Haqim (and it wasn't mine), Giovanni, Baali among others.
I was particularly happy with the number of players because this tournament for me was like the result of a dream where years ago in that same place we fought to close a table with four players, we managed to hold a tournament with 19 which, if it weren't for some unforeseen events, we could have gone beyond 20.
It was cool to see the presence of Dinho who didn't play but attended the tables, exchanged ideas with the crowd and who I believe will be taking the heat off the tables next time.
I never tire of saying that for me it is always an honor to play with icons like Itamar, D’Avilla and Reginaldo, guys who were a reference for me when I started and I cannot fail to mention Daniel Anão, a guy who I learned to respect and love since VTES became a reality in our state.
And to conclude, the idea of putting the tournament in Nova América was a way (even if silent) of paying homage to our late Fernando Cesar, Syd, who I'm sure would be satisfied and excited about the game's scenario in Rio de Janeiro today, just like all of us old players are, in that same food court we (Re)started and today we won't stop, thanks also to PH for that, because when the crowd was dispersed he was a fundamental part in ensuring that the game didn't die... the history of VTES in our state goes from nostalgia to overcoming and This really encourages me to continue.
Well, let's get to the point, deviating a little from logic, I played with a Toreador! hug because as I'm in a moment of encouragement I promised my boss that I would use her deck in the tournament and at my first table it went smoothly the table rush took a while to look at me since I was his cross, he laid down my predator thus leaving me free to grow, at a table with 4 players and without much difficulty I managed to make my first vp, when I stuck to Brujah my setup was already prepared, Theo Bell's rush wasn't enough at that moment to cause me damage, GW came.
At the second table it was literally a test of patience, being preyed upon by Matasuntha and preying on a Toreador Gran Ball, I already predicted that life wouldn't be easy... but as incredible as it may seem, the one who harmed me was my cross, who, by letting himself be carried away by the table conversation about my deck and being afraid of his prey, did little, voting only against my deck, Leo Guedes was surgical, preventing my actions from creating a hug whenever possible and making my other predator always give him a recourse with the justification that this would help him stay alive and keep me at the table, at that point I only had 3 vampires and 2 hugs (which Itamar sent to torpor while Léo (angry) Guedes had 3 progenies if I'm not mistaken, 2 or 3 vampires ready and was about to take Léo freire. The table stretched between seeing me as a threat Itamar invested little considering that his predator was more worried about me than with himself, his actions were precise and punctual, taking me away from the table with 5 minutes to go after I left the table ran out of time.
As it was a short tournament with 2 rounds + final, 5th place was decided on the dice between Felipe Gonçalves and Reginaldo Oliveira, I confess that I was rooting for Regis just because he was from Banu, but Felipe won in the dispute that was decided on the dice, thus configuring the table:

1st Victor Bradock with Malk B&S, 6 VP 1 GW
2nd Tomaz Luna with Stanislava, 4VP 1GW
3rd Daniel Dwarf with ventrue V5, 4VP 1GW
4th Alanmut Bastos with Toreador! embrace, 4VP 1GW
5th Felipe Gonçalves with Mithras, 3VP 1GW

Once the preparation was done, Bradock was already looking at my position at the table without me even having raised a vampire but he raised a vampire quickly, I also managed to raise two minions and started to pool as I knew I would need to withstand the votes and bleeding of Daniel who was with a Ventrue, Felipe raised another Ventrue, but this one a Sabbat, I was running out of time between pooling and hugging and I managed to take a slight breather in the votes since initially I managed to put the Exhibition Foundation on the table, Tomaz who I was Bradock's prey and couldn't last long, as Bradock was mercilessly bleeding and gaining pool, Tomaz even considered doing something against me who was his cross, I had to argue with him that harming me would do him no good as I could help him with the votes, and weakening me meant helping his prey who was also voting, his hostile looks at me only stopped when I promised to help him with an inbreeding boom when I came, there wasn't time for him to leave the table beforehand.
As soon as Tomaz left, Coutinho proposed to Bradock to help get me off the table as I already had 4 vampires and 3 hugs, my prey Felipe made little investment against Bradock as he didn't want to be exposed to my attacks, in the final I only managed to get a Palla Grande the whole final, as the others didn't come, my Art Scan didn't come either so I could survive, with the revelation thrown on the table, Bradock played the whole final with an open hand practically and at no point did he feel threatened, he tried to intimidate me by asking me to to take away the revelation for him or he would direct his bleeding against me, but as in doing so he would be favoring his now prey Daniel, he changed his mind, proposing a truce to the Dwarf if he were to take away the revelation and directing me at least one bleeding action with one of his three Malks, an agreement made on the other side I then proposed an agreement on this side, I told Felipe that I would not act any further until he removed Bradock, agreements were made and that was the highlight of the In the end, Daniel did his part and attacked the revelation but Felipe defended it by keeping it in play, Felipe barely managed to attack Bradock who in his turn found himself in the following situation, with 3 vampires ready, acting with the 3 against Daniel would make his VP and practically guarantee the title, fulfilling the agreement would leave Daniel about to make 2 VPS and also with a chance of being champion... the rest is history, Bradock champion with the Malk Bleed & Steath Dementia deck.

Thank you to all the participants for your presence, you are the ones who make our game grow, thanks to my great friend Aylton Cianni (Joe BM), one of the BR25 Organizers.

I would also like to thank Roberto Mautone Jr. for providing Deckbox for the award, it is through attitudes like this that we make our community strong.

A hug also to those who showed up to at least say hello to the guys Alberto Bacia, Thiago Souza and José Fontenelle.
Until next time guys, this year we will have our IGUAÇUANO, I count on your presence and may the GREATEST BRAZILIAN OF ALL TIME come.
