Adding in a report of my experience at the LeiriaCon tables

Round 1

I get a decent starting hand and decide to start by influencing a Ariane instead of a Baron early to start picking at Bernardo's pool. I regret the decision when I realize I have Malkavian behind me. Thankfully Eduarda opts to build up with Govern superior, this gives me time to get a baron out and rush back to get the highest cap Malk to 0 blood. The breathing room I get is enough to get Parthenon out and set up vessels and hunting grounds while applying little pressure forwards besides blocking some political actions that might have impact on me, anything Bernardo does forward I let through. My plan is to let the Malk be ousted without doing Felipe's work for him as I'm confident I can take his combat if I get 2 Debates on the table, and let the Nephandus fall to an Ancilla because it's a pain to deal with that many blockers.

I get 2 Debates out on the same turn and at this point I'm cycling for a finisher, either Open War or Smiling Jack will do. I get myself in range to be ousted by Ancilla from Bernardo plus a big bleed from Eduarda, so Bernardo goes for his VP with Ancilla ousting Pedro. I have bounce in hand so I'm ok with this. Felipe goes forward now that he has less pressure and starts working on Eduarda's vampires and pool. I get Smiling jack out and start going forward, trying to punch past Bernardo's bloat. Eduarda falls to Felipe. I get 2 more Debates out, Bernardo runs out of blood for Smiling jack soon after.

One on one with Felipe he has The Rack and Hunting ground out, I have Papillon, Carfax and Poacher's with 3 vessels. I steal his Rack and sacrifice 3 non-Baron vampires to take as much blood from his table as possible so he is ousted by Smiling Jack.

I get 3VP, Felipe 1VP and Bernardo 1VP

I have a Club Illusion in my opening hand so I decide to go forwards early to reduce the amount of vampires Eduardo M can get out. I manage to get 3 vampires out and club illusion by the time Eduardo M brings out Lucinde (g7), next I bring out a baron and I have an issue with my hand, I haven't seen one reaction yet, which I will need to block Eduardo M's Govern superiors so he can't bloat out of the danger zone or Eduardo C's bleeds as I see he has a couple of HL:Retributions already in play. I continue to go forward to get blocked and cycle combat to look for Org Resistance with no success.

Meanwhile the table is in a strange state. Tiago didn't see a Tremere for 5 turns so he's late to the party and already out several Tupdogs and low on pool. Tiago starts dunking Lasombra and graverobbing, intent on going upstream on the table. I'm ok with this since my hand is jammed, and can't deal with either of my neighbours so if Tupdogs continue to go upstream I may be able to get a VP and time to unjam my hand. Eduardo C continues to bleed me while leaving some blockers up to prevent Tupdogs from taking his vampire with a Magnum equiped which limits his actions and ability to assist Luisa cross table to get Tiago ousted. I try to bullshit that I can do something about his bleeds but will let the bleed through so he can save his combat for the Tupdogs and hope it sticks. Next turn I leave two vampires unlocked to block bleeds but Eduardo C has stealth and I have no Org Resistance so I'm out.

Once I'm out Tiago's plan of going upstream is no longer viable as Eduardo C already has a VP and he starts to split his attention between both Eduardos, managing to graverob a Banu Haqim. Meanwhile Tiago calls a series of political actions which grant the table quite a lot of pool in order for him to survive. This puts Eduardo M out of ousting range from Eduardo C, but does not prevent himself from being ousted by Eduardo M. Table goes to time.

I'd prefer to be seated between João and Pedro but in this table I'm not in front of Sergio or Pedro so I can't complain. I get Rayne out first turn, followed by Leumeah on the second. I see no Parthenon but manage to get 2 Vessels and The Rack on Leumeah shortly after, so I'm comfortable continuing the forward pressure. Ideally I'd want Sergio to go upstream so I can get 2 VP, failing that I would be ok with Ravnos ousting the two combat decks behind me while taking some losses so I can take the last 3 VPs. I focus on getting my first VP as that one wouldn't interfere with either option.

João gets more bloat than I anticipated which delays me. I keep Eduardo from equipping Magnums while I don't have Debates in play, but he gets a Heart through via Magic of the Smith. Ravnos is managing to bleed through Sergio despite the rushes and vampires going to torpor. I get Open War out but I only have one Debate and my hand is not amazing for combat so my ability to torpor vampires is limited. I keep going forwards. Eduardo is in ousting range of Sergio via Fame and bleeds with Blessings of the Loa, Sergio goes for it and after both of them cycle a third of their deck in combat Eduardo is still standing, Sergio is at 1 pool and Eduardo's vampires (and likely hand) are not in good shape.

There's some back and forth on deals, the most relevant a proposal for me to back oust Eduardo to keep Sergio in the game but that would let João oust Pedro, then I'd oust João and be 1 on 1 with Sergio and low confidence on ousting Sergio who is higher seed than me. I could also Celerity Line Brawl Sergio out of the game to give Pedro pool, keeping João from getting a VP and 6 pool, and likely ensuring Eduardo is busy or ousted by Pedro so I can then clean up with Open War and Debates for 3VPs. Time isn't on my side so I decide to just drop club illusion and press forward with bleeds. João doesn't oust Pedro, Pedro ousts Sergio, I oust João on my next turn. Pedro lunges at Eduardo and his last ready vampire is torched by an Archon Investigation, and with no blockers I use club illusion to bleed Pedro out. Table goes to time.

2.5 VP for me, 1 VP for Pedro, 0.5 VP for Eduardo
