How does this card address a compelling game need?: Art's traumatic essence tends to stay on a vampire just one untap phase. You put it and next untap it is gone, this may add some play to it.

Nice :-)

For the :MEL: power, I was initially expecting it to be "Could not block this minion", "Cannot untap", or "-2 intercept" due to being transfixed by the acting minion. An alternative suggestion could be to make it take two or three actions to remove if you want to combo with Art's Traumatic Essence ). With presence in-clan, I'm not sure if burning extra pool is as much or a priority, but I admit I don't have much experience of playing Daughters.

I'd consider making the Fortitude level apply to allies in some fashion, so that the card isn't totally worthless when faced with Imbued or super heavy ally decks.

I thought of it only in vampire for balance purposes but reading art's traumatic essence, it could go with minion on all effects as well.
