Grit
Combat
Requires: Celerity
cel: maneuver or press
CEL: Strike: Dodge
This card is needed because there are no celerity cards that grant either a press or a maneuver at one level and dodge at another. Plenty of cards give dodge at basic, so I thought flipping it and granting dodge at superior would be useful. I would use this card for a toolboxy deck featuring celerity and maybe weapons like weighted walking stick.

That just seems like too many options for one card. Celerity is already the best discipline for managing combats, it doesn't need a single card that can do all of those things.

Independent Futurist. Contrarian (titled, X votes where X is the number of votes as the acting minion.) Target Vitals is always the better combat card.

This card is not good nor bad. It works with what celerity does. It's another option, and there are many options when building a deck with celerity. This card is also better at the basic than superior, and that's a problem.
I would suggest:
Grit

maneuver or press.
This vampire burns a blood for a dodge or additional strike. Playing a second Grit in the same round of combat does not cost a blood.
Gives you everything you asked for in the initial post. The superior costs a blood, but it's optional. You pay for the dodge when it's worth it, and most additional strikes cost a blood anyway. Play two for a dodge and an additional strike, congrats you played an acrobatics for two cards.

Gangrel. Noddist. Camarilla. Once each turn, LivesByProxy may burn 1 blood to lose Protean
until the end of the turn and gain your choice of superior Auspex
, Obfuscate
, or Potence
for the current action.

The problem I have with this card is the name-discipline pairing. Your card is called 'Grit' but requires Celerity? Grit is perseverance, toughness, determination, etc. A better discipline for this card would be Fortitude IMO, but then you'd have to change what the card does because the effect would be too good for Fortitude.

Fail. Name the card "Nergal's left testicle throat punch" What discipline is that? Gofuckyourselfism?
