Yes, that should be a given. You can agree or disagree that large-cap decks are on the average more interesting than low/mid-cap decks.
They could make a larger number of more interesting decks if they had Villeins.

More importantly though, having Villeins etc. allows players to move from Malk S&B to more interesting decks.
There's nothing more inherently interesting about large-cap decks than mid- or small-cap decks.

If someone is using lack of Villeins as an excuse to make boring decks, they're full of shit.

Thanks but I already have enough Villeins for myself.

Suoli,Villeins were easy to get for a while but they are not easy to get now.
for example you can go to local store and purchase HttB starters for 10 euros for which you get 2 Villeins.
I'd hardly call that "not so easy" escpecially as the pub where local weekly games is played is upstairs from that store...

More cards does not equal more creativity.

A larger card pool equals less restrictions on creativity. Unless you choose to define creativity as coping with a limited card pool. I don't.

HttB Starters are *incredibly* hard to obtain, due to them being really good designed (for the very first time) and containing a lot of good stuff to have (Deflections!).
Here in Austria, supply has run dry on day one of the release of the set.
Where do you get yours?
