However, anyone who is even mildly interested in daily news will have a rough understanding on how much a EUR is vs. his local currency. Also anyone clever enough to play VTES should be able to figure it out if he doesn´t know.

This was my way of thinking, but it was not a problem to make this change now. I have added to question 2.2 US dollars conversion ;)

By the way. Small feedback regarding current results - 700 answers and more than 300 comments. I am positively shocked ;). I believe that in proper time results will be put into public.

Is this worth arguing about? I agree that the surveymakers could have bothered with at least give both euro and dollar, as lots of americans play the game, and it is really, really hard to find out the exchange rate :)

If think the question of what I´m prepared to pay for a single card is kind of odd, in more than one way.

First: I want to pay as little as possible for most things in life, at least if the surplus margin doesn´t go to charity or there aren´t any surplus margin.

Second: Even though I might have money to buy cards for lots of money, I know other people aren´t prepared to. Especially young people who we might be interested in getting into the game.

Third: I am prepared to pay rather much for what previously was printed as rares, as I don´t have alot of all of those. Other cards I would not pay anything for. Or was the survey only about NEW cards? (new = never printed before?)

Ie, I´m not sure I want the cost of POD-cards to be based on what I answered in that survey.

Pod cards will most likely cost more per card to print than old sets cost. We're most likely looking for the golden point where as many players as possible would still buy cards and the cards could still be printed without a loss.

Right. However the business driving the POD program needs to determine if they can make a valid business case out of it. The "margin" is needed to pay licenses, printing costs, wages etc... If there is no valid business case the program will simply not exist.

Second: Even though I might have money to buy cards for lots of money, I know other people aren´t prepared to. Especially young people who we might be interested in getting into the game.

That is why everyone answers the survey. And then we get statistical results and can make further analysis. Don´t think about the kid getting into the game, think about you. Getting people into the game is really the 2nd step here. However the prospect of ordering any deck they want for a fixed price seems pretty good for newcomers to me. Girls find Inner Peace for 40€ sounds like a taker :)

Third: I am prepared to pay rather much for what previously was printed as rares, as I don´t have alot of all of those. Other cards I would not pay anything for. Or was the survey only about NEW cards? (new = never printed before?)

The idea was to have a flat price. So you can buy an Enkil Cog for say 0.40€, however that means the fun cards will cost you 0.40€ as well. In the average you would still pay *less* in my perception. This not about new cards only but about new and old cards.

Ie, I´m not sure I want the cost of POD-cards to be based on what I answered in that survey.

The statistical results will be an input to a business case decision. The cost will be based on many factors.
