Muse on Art's Traumatic Essence wording was created by Ankha
Name: Art's Traumatic Essence
Cardtype: Action
Discipline: Melpominee/Auspex
+1 stealth action.
[aus]
Tap any untapped minion.
[mel]
Tap any untapped minion, and that minion burns 1 blood or life.
[MEL]
Put this card on any ready untapped minion and tap that minion. The minion with this card burns 1 additional blood or life each time he or she attempts to take an action or block. During his or her master phase, the controller of the minion with this card may tap this minion and burn a pool to burn this card. A minion may have only one Art's Traumatic Essence.
I'm wondering if there is a way to make this card's [MEL] effect clearer and shorter.
Keep in mind that:
- "this minion" can be the acting minion as well as the minion on which this card is put
- "the controller of the minion with this card" is in fact "you"
- but "you" can also be the controller of the acting minion.
All options are opened, here's a few (with a lot of junk in it):
- use a word to qualify the minion who plays the card: "this acting", "the originator"...
- use a word to qualify the minion on which the card is put: "this minion", "that minion", "the affected minion", "attach this card to... Attached minion..."
- use "the minion's master phase" instead of "the minion's controller's master phase"
- use a symbol to indicate that "this minion" from now on refers explicitely to "the minion with this card"
Cardtype: Action
Discipline: Melpominee/Auspex
+1 stealth action.

The best way is not to invent obscure terms, but to change [MEL] effect for something less idiotic.
For example (just example!)
[aus] Tap any untapped minion.
[mel] As above, and that minion burns 1 blood or life.
[MEL] As above, and burn 1 pool from that minion controller.

But I agree on the "obscure" term, the goal is to see if something clearer/shorter/neater can be written.

Sorry, forgot to add the "during the master phase" part:

During their master phase, the controller may tap that minion and burn a pool to burn this card. A minion may have only one Art's Traumatic Essence.

Card with so much text has no right to exist.
