I was under the impression that Summon Histories were going for, like, $85...

Not right now at least. I find $39 and $33.60. But the "buy it now" prices at rickstock and bik_76 is $65 and $75.I was under the impression that Summon Histories were going for, like, $85...

Thanks for the list — really interesting. While the prices are relatively expensive for V:TES, they are still fairly cheap compared to a lot of other card games (especially chase card wise).
One issue that this does not cover is lack of / price of starter decks. Now without starting to spend decent a chunk of cash the only starters available to new players are Black Hand, 3rd Edition and decreasing Legacy of blood. I think this poses a problem in terms of diversity (and attracting new players).

Looking at a month-long slice gives a solid idea any time a price seems odd.
There are still players who need cards, and still cards that arent getting any easier to obtain.
Many cards from KoT/HttB are still in painfully high demand, even for a niche game.
If i was looking to buy up and print vtes, id see all of that money as something I could tao into.
If players want multiples of something, and will pay~$10 for one, they would probablybuy a "starter" for $15 to get 2, and more stuff.
Then id wonder how long until the boomgoes bust on aniche market, and contemplate longevity factors:
Will current players keep playing and how
&
How would new customers become interested?
Well, since the sustaining organization designs new cards and players used to draw in new consumers just for the sake of the game until printing stopped, id have to say its reasonable to expect product to sell at an inxreasing rate and level off higher than other niche games.
Profit would hinge on fees to the IP owners, physical print costs, artist fees, and a few debateable fees (do they fund/pay vekn for new sets, do they pay/donate prizes, etc)
Bottom line, theres a demand, but the cost versus profit is un-provable at this time due to IP issues.
We are still playing and buying though. How many other "dead" games still have singkes routinely fetching prices similar to what they did before going oop 5+ years later? And plenty of different singles to boot.
Now, who wants to hook me up with a cog?
