Hi guys,
I'm new to this website but remember 'playing' and watching Vampire from as young as 8 years old! I have lots of the original decks and numerous clans from back in the day. I remember playing it and really enjoying the atmosphere the game created!
I would like to know if any up-coming events or anything that will hold V:TEC that are hosted in the UK? I remember being taken to an event when I was young and would love to go back to something like that now I'm older and in possession of some serious decks. All cards are in immaculate condition as they were all them years ago. I use to join in when my mum's bf and their friends and remember really wanting to understand how the game works. I want to play this game again and learn the rules fully! I have everything I need to do that just wanna know if it would be worth learning it, if events still happen.
If anyone knows any info or want to know what cards I got and reminisce then PM me or reply! I'm gonna lay out my cards and study the clans! Note: Doubt I have any decks or clans that were created after 2002-3. Oldschool only!
Thanks for reading,
Josh

Hi Josh,
Welcome to the fray, neonate!
There's the UK Nationals coming soon (and I'll be there). I suppose that Hugh could tell more about incoming events.
There's also a map of them: www.vekn.net/map.html
I'm sure everyone will be pleased to help you step into the game!

Hi Ankha,
Thank you for the link! I'm gonna spend this weekend laying out my decks and reading the mini book to learn the rules again!
The only thing I haven't got are the blood counts! Do you know where I can get hold of some? They were like mini red gems made out of glass I think..
I will also look up the UK nationals and try to get involved! I will post some images of my decks so you can see which I have and if any are decent enough to compete!

Check out my VTES blog: Gaming with BS
I also host a google doc which separates the TWDA into clans . That means I track how often clans win, which crypt groups get used, and how many people attend events. You can access all of that info here:

Welcome back! If you are looking for a local playgroup, you may want to check out the
list of Princes
(volunteers on a city/region level).
As for blood counters - there was a set of "official" ones that sound like what you describe, but they were made as prizes for tournaments and I don't think they are readily available any more. Really any counters you have will work great - I've seen people use pennies or bullet casings (likely easier to get over here in the Colonies...), cardboard markers, and those little beads that you can get at places like Target or pet stores (they go at the bottom of fish bowls often).
There is also an awesome rulebook that a VEKN volunteer put together recently (my understanding is it's not done yet, which is why it hasn't been posted here yet), but it's full sized, and has plenty of examples, I think it's a lot easier to read than those little rulebooks - plus it should be more complete and up-to-date.
Let me see if I can find the link... ah, here it is !
There is also a pretty good demo document that walks you through a turn or two (it's be a good way to remind yourself about the game), which can be found here .
And finally, there is a video done by the Gentleman Gamer which is a primer for how to play VTES on an online program called Lackey, but it also does a pretty decent job of explaining the rules, so you might find it useful. The video is posted below.
Enjoy, and again, welcome back to the game!

Thankyou! I will order some counters next weekend..
I'm laying out my decks and I have stumbled across some ace characters! Going to study the rules this evening over a glass of wine!
I'm so excited to see which clans I have full possession of! I know for a fact I got Bruja cos I use to play as that clan when I was younger!
