Either I have always misplayed (and misjudged!) the card, or the ruling on Eagle’s Sight is (at a minimum) written in a very ambiguous way.

Not a ruling in itself, but a reminder about something players and judges very often get into problems with: You are NOT allowed to play Eagle´s Sight (or similar effects) to block a bleed action AFTER a bleed has been redirected (with Deflection or similar effect). This is because playing Deflection implies that the defending player declines to block.

As far as I understand, while it is true that Deflection is played after block attempts, and so I may not be able to try to block the bleed against the original Methuselah, Deflection also reopens the block attempts, so I am able to play Eagle’s Sight to block the bleed attempt against the new Methuselah (respecting the impulse order). Right?

If so, the sentence “You are NOT allowed to play Eagle´s Sight (or similar effects) to block a bleed action AFTER a bleed has been redirected” is very very misleading… and if not, I don’t know how anything works anymore

Yes, sorry, the article will be reworked to remove any ambiguity.
