I think that having canceled cards removed from the game would be a great addition to VTES and a new twist on Sudden, etc.
It also doesn't appear to me that it'd do any serious damage to any deck archetype except for obnoxious, already possibly-overpowered multiple Master recursion decks.

Do it as a new card and leave Sudden and Wash alone.
I'd like to see a whole or partial set devoted to recursion and RFG strategies. The only downside I see is if cards that wallpaper an existing card would get created ( like an Undead Strength + RFG, all other text the same).

I am against changing the rules like this. There already a decent number of cards that can be used to remove cards from the game. There is space to add one or two more methods.
The correct way of doing so IMHO is creating new cards for this purpose. So when making your deck you decide if you want to be ready to fight recursion decks or not. Off course... tolboxing has its price.
