It is a bell curve function of the card text length. On one hand, you have simple effects that only interact with one rule, and there is strictly no way to make them do anything else. On the other hand, you have you have cards with so many restrictions that there is only one way to play them. In the middle, it gets fuzzy.

The more restrictions you place on a card's play, the fewer 'strange' uses you can have with the card.
The less options the card has, the fewer 'strange' uses you can have with the card.

In the middle where you can have moderately long card texts and may not extensive restrictions is where cards can more easily be used for purposes they were not intended.

Yes, I agree. My question "How do you mean?" refers to the question in the poll. Some cards are used as intended, some are not. I guess the cards that differ the most from the designers idea are those that wasn´t playtested enough, or those when the playtesters comments were ignored (Ashur Tablets? Anthelios? Villein? Wallpaper cards?)
