question-circle Storage Annex vs. Sudden Reversal

Meth A plays a Storage Annex.
Meth B plays Sudden Reversal to cancel the Annex.

Does Meth A have to put one card from hand onto the SA before Meth B has the opportunity to play SR?
Or should the SA go into play first, then the card-from-hand is moved to it?
Also, when should Meth A draw up to hand size?

Relevant card texts: (highlights mine)

Storage Annex
Master: location.
Put a card from your hand face down (out of play) on this card when you play it. You may look at the card at any time. During your master phase, you may exchange a card in your hand for the card on this Storage Annex.

Sudden Reversal
Master: out-of-turn.
Cancel a master card played by another Methuselah as it is played (no cost is paid).

I would suggest that you would choose the card to into the annex, but the card would not 'reach' the Annex until after the window for playing Sudden Reversal or Wash has closed.

So it would be:

Declare Playing Storage Annex and identify which card is going to the Annex.
Window for Sudden Reversal/Wash.
Place identified card into Storage Annex. (Or keep the card in hand if the Annex is canceled as it is played).

Canceled cards' text doesn't trigger (that's what "cancel" means). You don't gain 1 pool if you play Ascendance and someone cancels it with Sudden Reversal.

The card that would go onto the Storage Annex is chosen as part of the terms of the card. However, since there is no showing of the card, the only identification that is really given is something like "this 3rd card from the left in my hand." So it only matters if people can see your hand (Revelations, ..)

Something to keep in mind is that "when" in VTES means "immediately after playing/tapping/announcing". It doesn't mean "at the same time". When there is a "when" clause, you get to replace the card before "when" occurs.

The "as played" window happens before the card is replaced.
