The sad part is that if it actually did what it intuitively should do (ie, end combat before being beaten up) it would be a decently playable card. Still not anything like a real combat ends, but it might actually see some play alongside proper combat ends because of the anti-ally effect at inferior.

I mean, what on earth was LSJ smoking when he made the cardtext for the superior up?

An hand strike combat end ? Yep, playable. Depending on the meta can range from as good as staredown to the better S:CE.
