Tap a ready minion. This acting vampire inflicts 1 unpreventable damage on that minion.

Choose a Methuselah. This acting vampire inflicts 1 unpreventable damage on each ready minion controlled by that Methuselah.
Secure Haven
Master
[1 Pool]
Master: unique location. Haven.
Put this card on a minion you control. This minion cannot be the target of other Methuselahs' actions. .........(blah blah blah)
Both your vampires (as well as any other ready minions you control like Mylan or Carlton) get shot in the face for 1.
Edged Illusion is a
action directed/targeted at a Methuselah - it's effect is to do 1 damage to every minion controlled by the targeted Methuselah.
Secure Haven does nothing in this instance, since its protection only extends to
actions directed at the minion that Secure Haven is on.

IANFLZD, but Superior Edged Illusion targets the methuselah, not the minion, so Secure Haven should not help.

Some actions target more than one thing, some without the ability to
individually control the selection, like Edged Illusion or Jaroslav Pascek's
special ability. If one or more of the targets cannot be targeted (because of
Trophy: Safe Passage, Sleep Unseen, or Reality, for example), the action can
still be taken, and it will simply have no effect on the things it cannot target
(and have the normal effect on the allowable targets).[/quote

Incorrect.
[LSJ 20071023]
And then several practical examples, such as using Hide or Talley, the Hound.

Incorrect.
[LSJ 20071023]

action that affect multiple minions.

The minions are the targets.
And then several practical examples, such as using Hide or Talley, the Hound.
