file Contesting Vampires you control yourself

Please read first paragraph as well... the rule is also intended for crypt cards.

If it is a equipment with vast wealth... IMHO you must pay before it burns... you have to pay to put it in play...

The first paragraph you quote still doesn't answer what happens when you 'accidentally' contest a card with yourself, or in other words bring a vampire up you already control. I gather now that it's simply burned (instead of never coming up, like we played a couple of times), but still I don't know where in the rulebook it says so. :)

The worst for this are Blood Brother. They have a lot of way to put blood onto vampire, they need to bring a lot of vampires out, and they have very few crypt choice, since you have maximum 6 differents vampires in a circle.

What I wanted to stress is that it is actually very easy to bring out the same vampire twice. It's more an easy (and very costly) misplay than anything else.

That's in the red text.

As previously quoted-- Rulebook, 4.1: You can't control more than one of the same unique card at a time, and you cannot contest cards with yourself (if some effect would force you to contest a card with yourself, then you simply burn the incoming copy of the unique card).

You are aware that vampires are unique minions, correct? If so then [4.1] completely answers your question.

Oookay, so the red text was part of the quote as well - it was hard to tell before. :) That does explain! I thought, 'till the end, that it was just your own addition. The text didn't seem rulebookish at all.

Thanks everyone.

I'm well aware.
