HI I need a clarification on Gianni's superpower.

When another of your minions is in combat, Gianna can tap and burn herself to burn any equipment on the opposing minion, or tap during strike resolution to inflict 1 unpreventable damage on the opposing minion.

So am I to understand I can tap and burn her anytime one of my minions is in combat? SO even after my oponent has chosen their strike... am not sure wether the second comma means both have to be done during strike rez or if I can brun her before range... say to remove a possible gun manuever use?
