Smallpox Griet
!Nosferatu.
Sabbat.
If Smallpox Griet successfully inflicts hand damage in consecutive rounds of a combat, the opponent gets a pox counter. A minion with any pox counters takes 1 damage during his or her untap phase. Burn all pox counters when Smallpox Griet leaves the ready region.
My question here is about the consecutive requirement. This means that, in order to put 1 pox counter on the opposing vampire, she needs to hit them in one round - not necessarily the 1st round - and then again in the very next round?
For example, 1st round of combat, she hits with hands for 1, her opponent hits back for 1, she presses and we go to round 2. If her opponent then dodges or prevents damage, and she pressed to go to round 3, even if she were to hit her opponent in round 3, no pox counters would be applied, correct? She would need to press to round 4, and then successfully hit them, in order to apply a pox counter.
But, if we suppose she could Trap her opponent, hitting them on the very 1st round of combat, and then again on the 2nd round, she would apply a pox counter? And if she then hit them on the 3rd round, she would apply another; 4th round would be the third pox counter, etc.
If someone could help clarify and confirm that's how it works, thanks.
Also, has anyone tried to use and abuse her ability? It seems really powerful in theory.

One damage per untap if any pox counters are present, not one damage per untap per pox counter.

Yeah, she's...not great. Huge vampire with no votes, no ability to bleed, limited options for blocking, no bleed bounce, very limited ability to multiact, cornercase special made even worse by her spread of combat disciplines...
