Hi
I have a doubt. A long time ago, I remember I saw that you could use benefits from actions and reactions (let's say maneuver from bum's rush or from Spirit's Touch) only on the first round of combat, but now i can't find it. Does it work that way or am I mistaken?
Many thanks in advance
Bum's Rush
[Action] Action
Do not replace until after this action.
Enter combat with a ready minion controlled by another Methuselah. The acting minion gets an optional maneuver during this combat.
Spirit's Touch
[Reaction] Reaction
[Auspex] Auspex
[aus] +1 intercept.
[AUS] As above, with an optional maneuver in the resulting combat if this vampire successfully blocks this action.

The effect granted by the action should be available once during that combat, but it doesn't have to be the first round. As long as its the combat resulting from that action. For example, if opponent uses strike: combat end, and you use psyche to get a new combat, you won't have the maneuver in that combat since its no longer the same one.
Also keep in mind that if the action is blocked, you won't get the effect. The action must succeed.
Unless the card states otherwise of course. Massassi for example has a rush as an ability, and gets a maneuver only during the first round of that combat. This reads explicitly on Massassi.
There are reasons why for example, a celerity gun deck may equip two magnums on a single vampire, so they maneuver shoot with one during the first round, then press with some card, then use the maneuver of the second magnum during the second round to shoot safely again.

It was explicitly ruled the opposite way. (Of course, an individual card can be more specific if it wants.)

By default, combat cards only apply to the round in which they are played. Explicit card text is needed to overcome this default. [RTR 19980623]
A maneuver or press gained by a combat card can only be used during the current round of combat. A maneuver or press gained by a non-combat card (e.g., action, equipment) can be used in any round of the combat. [TOM 19960521]
