I have a question about transfusion and environmental damage. The card text on transfusion seems to imply that the vampire themself must deal the damage to put a transfusion counter on the opposing minion. Would environmental damage from necrosis or groaning corpse work? In the case of necrosis I am assuming that the damage from the strike was prevented. Also, if necrosis was dodged would the environmental damage still hit later or would that be dodged as well?
Name: Transfusion
[LoB:C]
Cardtype: Action Modifier
Cost: 1 blood
Discipline: Thanatosis/Necromancy
[nec] Only usable after a successful action. Add 1 blood to a ready vampire.
[thn] As [nec] above, but add 1 life to a ghoul or 1 blood to a ready vampire.
[THN] Only usable after combat if this vampire is still ready and successfully inflicted any damage on the opposing minion in that combat. Put a transfusion counter on the opposing minion. If the minion now has 3 of your transfusion counters, burn them all to take control of that minion. Only one Transfusion may be played at superior each turn.
Artist: John Bridges
Name: Necrosis
[LK:4]
Cardtype: Combat
Discipline: Thanatosis/Potence
[pot] Strike: hand strike at +1 damage.
[thn] Strike: hand strike at +2 damage.
[THN] As [thn] above, and the opposing vampire takes 1 unpreventable environmental damage during the press step this round (only effective if this strike was made at close range).
Artist: Javier Santos
Name: Groaning Corpse
[HttB:C/A2]
Cardtype: Combat
Cost: X blood
Discipline: Thanatosis
Only usable before range is determined.
[thn] X is the number of Groaning Corpses already played this combat. The opposing minion takes 1 environmental damage each round this combat during normal strike resolution at close range.
[THN] As above, but for 2 environmental damage. A vampire can play only one Groaning Corpse at superior each combat.

Correct. It is explicit, not implicit.I have a question about transfusion and environmental damage. The card text on transfusion seems to imply that the vampire themself must deal the damage to put a transfusion counter on the opposing minion.
No, environmental damage is not inflicted by the minion.Would environmental damage from necrosis or groaning corpse work?In the case of necrosis I am assuming that the damage from the strike was prevented.
Dodge "protects the dodging minion and his possessions (cards on him) from the effects of the opposing strike. " So you wouldn't take any damage from Necrosis. Also, if necrosis was dodged would the environmental damage still hit later or would that be dodged as well?
