times Tournament rules 4.5. Proxy Cards

I know, but that means not everyone has the promos (especially from previous years), so it might lead to unfair advantages when allowing them. Hence, the question.

I think all of the are still available via BCP.

So I think this statement is, bul... rubbish.

But in the end you do what is best suited for your local scene.

Well @squirrel, have you liaised with the IC / BCP ?

If they still have some of those promo on hand, you may be able to run an event with the promos as a participation prize, thus solving the availability issue ☺︎

I'm actually interested in this, do you mean to say BCP has and prints earlier storyline and expansion only promos as some sort of "pre 201x" package? Cards like Barbaro Lucchese that appeared during the infernal storyline as promo? Or Convergence? Crusade: Aragon? Dan Murdock?

I mean while I have enough copies of Eye of Hazimel to build a cardhouse while stacking other similar promos atop, I can see how some newer players might feel sore when I equip Dan Murdock with it and go to old fashioned pound town with cards they do not have. Personally I do not feel any of the promos have ever been broken, despite certain ending up to the ban list, but I also understand how some people might feel that way. And while I've been able to pay premium (imho) on the cardboard just to have one or two copies of the out of print promos I missed (Guide and mentor, I mean, really?), I would have preferred to earn them the "old way" aka going to event.

What I'm trying to say, if BCP does not offer all promos ever printed, then there is some merit in the notion of the op about power balance. And if BCP does offer all promos ever printed, there is no merit but we also seriously need to arrange roadtrip from here to there and you'll hook our group with those once the "general reasons" are cleared.

I suspect BCP only has promo 1 and 2 packages along with the barons, thus no Kisha Bhimji AUS pot and others for newbies...

Where did you get that all promos ever printed, mate?

My reply referred only to this, not all promo cards ever produced.

So I'm under the assumption that all the promo cards BCP PRODUCED are still currently available. Probably won't be available FOREVER though.

I wouldn't be all that surprised that when the product range becomes giganormous some of the non-promotional products might not be kept in print forever either...

That's me reading too much into discussion as all promo cards were once part of some promo pack or another. I seriously doubted the possibility of BCP reprinting them as they would also advertise on it. Then again print on demand format along with rarity massacre has opened certain avenues that were not open in the past, including reprinting old promos.
