Correct.My famous, empty vampire is in torpor, my predator wants to rescue her. His vampire (Karsh) has 1 blood and he has the Coven. He attempts to rescue by saying Karsh will pay both.
I said that Karsh cannot attempt the action because he does not have the blood to attempt it.
Correct. The Coven cannot be used to pay the cost of an action, it only gives blood (which then can be used to pay the cost of an action).Even though the Coven would give him blood, you cannot take actions that you cannot pay for. I said that he needed to tap the Coven first, giving Karsh the blood to be able to attempt the action.
Correct: Karsh had enough blood when he announced the action. If he burns 1 blood but then regains enough blood to pay for the action before it resolves, all is fine.This is different than Karsh having 2 blood, playing Earth Control for stealth (leaving him at 1 blood). The Coven could prevent the fizzle at that point because you had the ability to take the action in the first place.
No.So, can a 1-blood Karsh attempt the rescue from torpor action on an empty vampire?
Only if you use it to give blood to Karsh before announcing the action.If the Coven is in play?
