Just to know, but where in the rules does it say that?
Only find that the master cards are played by the Methuselahs and the minion cards by the minions.

Unfortunately it is not in the rules and is something that has been suggested to be added into the future version of the rulebook. In the meantime below is a ruling explaining that minion cards are played by both the minion and the Methuselah…unlike master cards and events that are only played by the Methuselah.

Correct. Minion cards are played both by the Methuselah and the minion.
