Do not replace - Rule question was created by mipopo3
Hi all,
I have a question:
On the board, I got Hagar Stone:
Sabbat. Black Hand: While Hagar is ready, you have +1 hand size. While Hagar is unlocked, do not replace cards you play on your turn until Hagar locks or your turn ends.
And I play Ashur Tablets number 3.
I do not replace this card, but what happens when I pull the card from the ash heap to my hand?
-"move one of the chosen cards to your hand and shuffle the others in your library."-
Do I discard down to my hand size that is 7(8-1 from Hagard "do not replace text") or is this card in my hand number 8?

You discard down to 7, “do not replace” effects also reduces your hand size for the duration of the effect

That is what I was thinking,
But:
Page of the rulebook — 7 —
Drawing Cards
Whenever you play a card from your hand,
you draw another from your library to
replace it (unless card text says otherwise).
If your library is empty, then you do not
draw to replenish your hand, but you do
continue to play. The number of cards in
your hand should always match your hand
size (cards that are replaced later reduce
your hand size for the duration of the effect).
The starting default hand size is seven cards
in hand. Whenever an effect changes your
hand size or adds or removes cards from your
hand, immediately discard down to or draw
up to match your hand size.

Mirror Walk
Not replacing the card works the same way
as if it was counting against your hand size:
if you had a hand size of 7 before playing
the card, you now have a hand size of 6 until
your discard phase.
